(05.04.2023)

Today, RARIS presented investment projects and locations in tourism of Eastern Serbia in the great hall of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Novi Sad. The presentation of investment opportunities in tourism of Eastern Serbia aroused great interest from the business community and gathered more than 50 participants. The presentation was attended by businessmen, consultants, real estate agencies and others interested in investments in tourism from Novi Sad and Vojvodina.

Eastern Serbia consists of the cities of Zajecar and Bor, the municipalities of Majdanpek, Kladovo, Negotin, Knjazevac, Sokobanja and Boljevac. In recent years, Eastern Serbia has set records in tourism: 2,900 tourist facilities with 9,000 beds are successfully operating, 300,000 tourists come annually, spending over 1.2 million nights, and 170,000 tourists visit local museums. Extensive interventions are underway to improve the traffic infrastructure in the region. Lepenski Vir has a new visitor center, the reconstruction of the Fetislam fortress and the construction of the visitor center at Felix Romuliana (UNESCO) have begun, and the communal arrangement of Rajacke wine cellars will soon begin. In the region, there is an increasing offer of locations for greenfield and brownfield investments at more than competitive prices, and there are numerous examples of successful investments, in which more space is sought: hotel Ramonda on Rtanj, hotel Sunce in Sokobanja, apartments on Stara planina and Danube...

At the presentation, the trends in the growth of tourism in Eastern Serbia were presented in detail, as well as the advantages of investing in tourism in Eastern Serbia. Thirty specific locations and tourism projects that have been recorded in the Invest East Serbia database of investment locations were also presented. Among others, the following were presented: SPA hotel with issued construction permit; a number of locations by the Danube, on Stara planina, on Rtanj, on Negotin wine cellars, the Crni Vrh ski resort and Sokobanja; an ethnic village in the Timok Valley; hunting houses; zip-line on Djerdap, Gamzigradska spa, hotels on Stara planina, pond on the Danube, camp next to Negotin wineries, etc. You can view all investment opportunities here: http://investeastserbia.com/index.php/lokacije-u-turizmu
