RARIS, in partnership with eight tourist organizations of Eastern Serbia (Majdanpek, Kladovo, Negotin, Bor, Zajecar, Sokobanja, Knjaževac and Boljevac), is implementing the project "Training of personnel as a factor in the tourism development in Eastern Serbia". The project is funded by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications. Over ten year lasting partnership and regional cooperation in the field of tourism in Eastern Serbia, has been continued by implementation of the Project.
Within the project, two regional trainings were organized on August 24th, in Zajecar, and on August 25th, in Kladovo. With the help of leading experts in the field, the participants had an opportunity for a practical training in networking tourism destinations within Eastern Serbia into a single product - a package, made up of a variety of services to be offered to tour operators and travel agencies.
The trainings were attended by representatives of local tourist organizations of the founders of RARIS, representatives of tourist agencies, hotels and private accommodation providers, representatives of restaurants, representatives of civil society organizations, women's associations engaged in tourism development and promotion of tourism.
Lecturers were.Bojan Zecevic, Ph.D, from the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade , as a Program Manager and Dr. Milan Ćulić, from the Centre for Tourism Research and Studies, Novi Sad.
